Delete your data

This is a translation. The Swedish version at /integritet/radera is the authoritative text and prevails in the event of any discrepancy.

Who this page is for

This page is for you if you wrote to a business whose website is powered by Onesync, through its website chat or an enabled WhatsApp channel. It explains what we keep, for how long, and how to request deletion.

If you are instead a business customer of Onesync, your own data is described in the privacy policy, linked at the bottom of this page.

What we store about you

When you write to a business through one of our channels, we store:

  • The conversation. What you write and the answers you receive, in the order they were sent.
  • The contact details you give us yourself. A name, phone number or email address if you write them in the conversation, for example to book a table. We do not ask for more than that.
  • Your WhatsApp sender number. If you write through an enabled WhatsApp channel, we receive your sender number and, when supplied with the message, your profile name, so the reply reaches the right thread.
  • The technical information needed to deliver the answer. The time, the language, and which business’s website the conversation concerns.

Ordinary conversations are cleaned up after 90 days

Ordinary conversations become eligible for daily cleanup 90 days after their last activity. Messages are deleted with the conversation. An unresolved external send or transcript repair can delay deletion of related data until the work is resolved. Minimal linkable operational evidence, such as protection against duplicate sends, may remain until the business data is deleted.

If you do not want to wait out the 90 days, you can ask for deletion straight away. Here is how.

How to ask for deletion sooner

Email info@onesync.se with "deletion" in the subject line. To find the right conversation we need to know:

  • which business you wrote to,
  • roughly when you wrote,
  • which channel you used — the website chat or WhatsApp — and, for WhatsApp, the phone number you wrote from.

We answer at the latest one month after receiving your request, which is the deadline in GDPR art. 12(3). In practice it is usually faster.

Sometimes we need to ask one follow-up question to be certain we delete the right conversation. When we do, we never ask for more than that question requires, and whatever we receive in order to identify you is not used for anything else.

If you wrote through WhatsApp

Removing Onesync access at Meta stops new sends once revocation is confirmed. A send already in progress may still receive an outcome. Disconnecting does not delete received conversations or protected delivery evidence. Request deletion by email as described above.

Data held by Meta is handled at Meta. A request to Onesync covers the data Onesync processes for the business.

Who is responsible for the data

The business you wrote to is the controller of your conversation. Onesync, a service from Sev Nordic AB (company reg. no. 559595-6052), is the processor and handles the conversation on that business’s instructions. You may approach either of us — if you email us, we handle the request together with the business.
